India should be occupying the centre stage by virtue of its pool of talent and the highest youth to total population ratio.Therefore India has to sustain its edge over other major nations in the arena of higher and technical education. Even the Euro American nations have been focusing upon India for their growing needs of manpower for most of the knowledge based sectors. Hence India has to emerge as the fulcrum for the higher and technical education for the entire world


ITEP Recognition

Vagad College, Badgi proudly announces a landmark achievement in the field of higher education. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi has officially granted recognition to the institution to run the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) from the academic session 2026–27.

This recognition by NCTE allows Vagad College to introduce two prestigious integrated courses under ITEP:

B.A.–B.Ed (50 seats)

B.Sc.–B.Ed (50 seats)

The ITEP programme, designed and regulated by NCTE, is a modern framework that combines undergraduate education with professional teacher training. Through ITEP, students will simultaneously pursue a bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), ensuring a comprehensive academic foundation and practical teaching skills.

Dr. Dinesh Kumar Patidar, Director of Vagad College, highlighted that the introduction of ITEP courses (BA–B.Ed and B.Sc–B.Ed) will provide students of the region with better opportunities in the teaching profession. He emphasized that the NCTE-approved ITEP curriculum is aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), aiming to prepare highly qualified and skilled teachers for the future.

📌 Admission Eligibility

Admission to the ITEP courses (BA–B.Ed and B.Sc–B.Ed) at Vagad College will be strictly based on the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Only those students who have appeared in the NTA-organized NCET examination will be eligible to apply for admission to the ITEP programme.

📅 Admission Process

The admission process for the NCTE-recognized ITEP courses will begin soon. Interested students are encouraged to complete the necessary formalities promptly to secure their place in either the BA–B.Ed or B.Sc–B.Ed programme.
